Rare Dunbar Lounge Chair with caning by Edward Wormley. Model 6016. Newly upholstered. Condition is excellent. Frame shows surface scratches that are consistent with age.

Edward Wormley (1907-1995) - started his furniture career at the New York School of Interior Design. In 1944, Wormely arrived at Dunbar to help modernize their brand. By 1950, he had gained enough notice to be included in the Museum of Modern Art and Merchandise Mart's Good Design Exhibition. His body of works spans over 50 years and he is widely recognized as one of the pioneers of furniture innovation in the mid-20th century.
