Purchase

Troika, as the name suggests, was founded by a trio. Lesley Illsley, Jan Thompson and Benny Sirota. It operated from 1963 to 1983 in Cornwall, England. The threesome wanted to pursue their vision of pottery as art, without regard to function. The venture rapidly became successful, gaining both critical praise and high sales through contracts with department stores such as Heals in London.
